“You don’t owe the world a version of you that it can understand~”I recently stumbled upon this quote, and it’s stuck with me ever since.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I’ve changed up my
‘About me’ quite a bit from what it used to be. It had a lot of
personal info before, but I’ve since decided to change that.I think my main reasoning was that this isn’t a LinkedIn page
nor an autobiography, but rather a space where I
get to freely express myself, sure, but focus on my brand and
all that it entails, rather than personal details about myself
that were fairly irrelevant to this page.I’ve also regained my confidence in writing since creating
my Substack and treating that a bit more like a journal (atm)
than anything else, so if you want to hear more personal thoughts
and such, do go check it out. I do, however,
intend on writing other pieces as well in the future,
about movies, TV series or other hobbies and interests,
so if that’s more along the lines of things that would interest you,
look forward to that and give me a follow anyway

I’ve picked up a lot of skills and knowledge while
working hard on my hobbies over the years.
I’m mostly self-taught in everything I know.I’m always eager to learn more along the line tho!
( ˃ ᵕ ˂ )´-What being creative means to me;I get to escape from reality for a short period of time, and
those moments are bliss. Discovering new worlds and universes,
going on incredible journeys and adventures, encountering
mystical creatures~ better yet, building up a kind and friendly
community that I can bring along for the ride.I’m incredibly grateful to those who find me, my work, my characters,
my content, and my stories interesting! 🎔 Your continued support

⟢Goals & dreams
Creatively, I have big goals, so the journey has been a slow one at best 🐌, especially given life’s curveballs, but I’m extremely motivated,
excited and determined to succeed! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning!I’m working hard to achieve my goal of ‘opening’ a small business,
Raven Mahina Studio. I’m still quite far off from realising this goal,
yet the dream is to start with some art/designs over on Ko-fi,
then work my way up to other creative projects,
such as journals and stickers.For the longest time, my writing journey had been an idle one.
Somewhere along the line, I had lost confidence in my writing
and stopped writing altogether.At the start of this year, I created my Substack account,
which has reawakened my courage and determination to get back to
writing something worth reading someday!Regarding content creation,
my dream has changed so many times over the years,
mostly because I never wanted to be in the spotlight to begin with,
but rather just have a space to be myself, share my hobbies & adventures
while building a caring community of like-minded souls.That’s what’s most important, honestly: attempting to create a sanctuary
for anyone who needs it, a supportive space wherein I can
hopefully make someone smile, and provide an environment in which
others can unwind after a very hard day. (ㅅᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)♡⁾⁾

⟢Content Creation
My journey of content creation has been one of my longer journeys for sure!
I created my first channel alongside my best friend~ back in 2016.
It was probably the best years of my content creation journey, and
I fondly look back on it for encouragement whenever
I feel intimidated, less brave or unsure about my creativity.During 2018-2019, I created a channel called Mochiko Mizuame
(technically my first Vtuber persona! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ),
but I was conflicted whether using a brand name, which
could seamlessly fall into all aspects of my creative world,
might be a better choice and ended up rebranding in 2020-2023
to CozyMoonlight (CozyMoonlightZA,
CozyMoonlightStudio & CozyMoonlightGaming.)I learned a lot during that specific rebranding, but since
things still didn’t feel quite right, I ended up rebranding one final time-
to RavenMahina.I now have an official gaming channel called Raven Mahina
and a Studio section named Raven Mahina Studio,
for all my writing, art & designs.It ended up more convenient by keeping the branding simple
rather than having 2-3 emails for the previous one. (˵ ¬ - ¬)
I, of course, lost a lot of subscribers in the process, but it was
a very necessary shift, especially for my personal life as well.⋄~ What are my immediate Content Creator Goals?
I'd love to create a cosy little gaming community,
especially for South Africans, yet everyone from
all over the world is welcome!⋄~ What type of content will I be creating?
For now, mostly gaming-related, cosy & spooky, interlaced with some fantasy.⋄~ For now? what other content am I considering?
I’ve always wanted to create ambient pieces.
I’m no musician (sadly), thus not fooling myself into thinking
I could go down that route, but ambience is a different ball game,
and I think I could be skilled enough to create something worth listening to.

Back in the day, I used to dabble in writing from time to time,
from story writing to poetry, yet I lost my confidence and drive
to do so over the past couple of years.
For a while, reality got the better of me, but I have recently
gotten back into it thanks to Substack! ( ´•᎑•)ﾉ(._.`) I’ve been slowly
regaining my ‘voice’ and determination to rekindle old dreams.⋄~ What type of pieces am I planning on writing?
a bit of everything- lol..
I wish to be strong and brave enough to talk about the harder topics,
yet also post some light-hearted pieces and gaming-related content
as well, of course. I also want to share my views or opinions, rather,
on movies & tv shows I've watched over the years, since
the idea of that seems quite fun!
(I’d add books to this, but due to the lack of funds, I stopped
buying books forever ago, and once again just ended up giving up
at the thought of catching up to the book community
and where everyone’s at currently. (╥﹏╥)
Don’t get me wrong, though, I adore reading!)⋄~ What are my goals regarding writing?
Well, I’d really love to write a book someday.
It’s been a long-term goal of mine for what seems like forever,
but for now, I'd just really love & appreciate support and genuine interest
in my writing! So frankly and quite honestly, to just write and
continue doing so until I write something worth reading.

I didn’t have something written up for art before, strangely enough,
I think it’s because I doubt my ability to create beautiful art or perhaps something worthy of being called ‘art’ -I wish to change this, though,
I want to keep practising and create something that can measure up to
my own high standards one day, when I do, I’ll let you guys know! (¬ ⤙ ¬ )⋄~ Do I have a background in art?
Errh..frankly idk if taking art in High school can be considered
“background in art”, mostly because I still feel like I haven’t exactly
found my medium, which in itself is a bit sad. I adore painting, however,
and dabbled a bit in pastel art, but the painting always felt more natural.⋄~ What’s my favourite thing(s) to create?
I’ve picked up pixel art and found it quite cosy.
I did purchase a tablet so I could practise different kinds of digital art,
but I couldn’t find the time to set aside to work on this!I like creating dinosaurs & animals, though I also practiced
making elvish folk. That was a couple of years ago now, however,
I’d really like to get back to it, practise more, and see where the journey leads.⋄~ Preferred style?
Nothing specific, probably just something in the vein of fantasy or
a bit of whimsy, but for the most part, my paintings were
magic realism/post-impressionism inspired.⋄~ Any artistic goals or dreams?
At some point in time, I was seriously considering wanting to be
a children’s book illustrator &/or writer. I’m not great at promoting myself,
so trying to sell my art has been a rough journey,
which can be quite discouraging! (• ᴖ •) ..this ultimately made me
veer off from that direction and dream.I would love to revisit this, improve and learn more about online marketing and how to succeed in selling my art online. As I mentioned previously, I’d love to grow and eventually be able to sell stickers of my work, characters, etc.

I feel it’s important to address this somewhere on the page.
Although I will eventually save up and get a microphone
so I can talk to you guys again, (I miss it too!)I will never do facecam(s) or post photos of myself. I’m a fairly private person, so separating my creative life from my personal life is very important to me. That being said, I will always share as much of myself as I’m comfortable with, in addition to being as direct and honest as I can.That’s just something I’m not willing to sacrifice.Regarding the Discord channel I occasionally keep mentioning-
I truly do want to make one! And it’s definitely still in the works.
I do apologise that it’s taking quite a while to set up, though.
I can be very finicky regarding details, so you can imagine
what it’s been like messing with bots, roles, settings, etc. ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ

Ideally, I’d love to have my own website, but for now, I’m sticking with my Carrd pages & Ko-fi in regards to donations or sales until I’m able to afford some new equipment & branch out a bit more. I’ll keep you guys updated! 🎔Streaming and my everlasting fear of it; I’m hopeful that, eventually, when I have a mic setup, I will gather all my strength and be brave enough to go live and share some cosy, relaxing moments with you guys. In the meantime, when Discord goes live, spam chat (within reason!) with some set-up tips and tricks to make the process safer (biggest fear of mine), but also better and more fun for the community, so I can work on them until that day comes! ᕕ(ᵕ¬ ᴗ ¬)ᕗ
